Our Story

Mike Graham founded his own carpentry business, Mike's Carpentry, in 2015 after completing his studies at Fanshawe College. He focused on residential construction projects and quickly gained referrals, leading to a full-time career.

Due to exceptional work and high demand, he has grown his team and taken on even more exciting projects. Recently, the business name was changed to Bayfield Contracting to reflect the change in the nature of the business.

With owner Mike at the helm, Bayfield Contracting now consists of a dedicated team of a licensed carpenter, apprentices, and labourers, as well as partner sub-contractors.

The team is passionate about bringing homeowners' dreams to life and takes great pride in seeing a build done properly and the finished product come to fruition. The greatest satisfaction is seeing the joy on a new homeowner's face when they step into their new home.

Homeowners can trust that they will be treated with respect, patience, and understanding.

Mike Graham
Owner

Mike Graham is a Bayfield native who received his education from Fanshawe College. He holds a diploma in construction engineering and a certificate in general carpentry.

John Heard
General Carpenter

Born and raised locally, John is the son of longtime Bayfield carpenter Terry Heard. Age 27.

General Carpenter

John, Mike's father, was born and raised in Bayfield. He had a wealth of experience working for the Village of Bayfield and the Municipality of Bluewater, as well as constructing numerous private homes in the area. In 2015, he joined Mike's business as a general carpenter.

A general carpenter from Egmondville, Kasey is 27 and proud to call Huron County home.
